I had the opportunity to embark on a new journey at Samsung's new design studio - Samsung Design and Innovation Center, San Francisco.

It served as a chance to collaborate with Samsung's best UX designers, researchers, and engineers to work on a real-time project to define new experiences for Samsung's flagship phones.

MY ROLE

For the project, I conducted 5 user interviews and participated in 3 guerilla interviews with millennials.

Created multiple interactive mobile prototypes for demonstrating smartphone camera concepts around Samsung's Bixby vision, AR, and Samsung Galaxy camera interface redesign.

LINEAR Vs EXPONENTIAL
Humans are driven by linear thinking (perceive things around us in a sequential pattern) whereas the technology is exponential in nature. The friction between these two can be addressed by need-based technology adoption and UX design.

START WITH RIGHT QUESTIONS
Like it goes - understanding and defining the problem gets you half the way close to the solution, starting with the right questions helps to scope down to appropriate solutions more efficiently.

GOOD DESIGN CONSIDERS BROAD CONSEQUENCES
Most prevalent problems in the world are the result of bad design decisions. Always take a step back and evaluate how the solution behaves with it's possible touch points.
